I came across this book reading the Architectural Digest and just had to share it with you. I mean, we always hear of French women and their style, personal and beauty style that is, and how they make it look so easy to pull off, so relaxed, effortless really, (it's not!!, I'll explain in another post) but now it seems their homes too have a certain je ne sais quoi !!  I do believe that normally, (not always), that your dwelling is an extension of you, of your taste, experiences in life, a bit of your parent's influence, (or not), so perhaps there is something in French homes. The book, My Stylish French Girlfriends, written by the blogger Sharon Santoni of the blog, My French Home, clearly shows that French style seeps into their sanctuary too, again an effortless look whether it's a chateau or a small city apartment, it's consistently chic.

Catherine, and her 1870's built chateau, Château de la Marine in Wimille.

Cecile, who purchased an old stone house in the countryside of la Perche.

Claire, a lover of flowers and her amazing dining room.

Evelyne, who has a classic 19th-century house decorated with antique furniture and contemporary art.

Laure and her husband, Bertrand, in a 20th-century artist’s studio in the 15th arrondissement.

Hope these images inspire you, to not be afraid to step out of the box when decorating your home.

Have a great Saturday,

P.S. I would like to set the record straight about the stuff that I post on The Life Juice. It's 100% things, places, stuff, that I really like, that I've researched, discovered or actually bought. Bloggers unfortunately have garnered a bad name, for basically receiving gifts and then just posting what they get for free with no criteria whatsoever. You can be sure, that I buy my  own creams, shampoos, bags or shoes, for example, and if I am gifted, only if I truly believe in the product, have tried it on MY skin, used it, do I talk about it and suggest it to you. I'm all about helping women achieve the best they can be, from the outside in, and all my tips are honest and thought through, tried and tested.
