There's the Golden Globes, the Oscars, the Met and then there's the Festival du Cinema de  Cannes. In my view, Cannes, being always in May, by the sea, should be lighter in colours and fabrics, more chic, less flashy, less bling- bling, and definitively No More barely-there-skater-outfits!! ( No, they're not dresses!). The glamour didn't disappoint, and there was a lot more elegance and restraint than in the last few red carpets!

I think Julianne Moore looked magnificent in Armani Priveé, which is always perfect for the red carpet. But both her looks, the other by Givenchy, were a little too much on the wintery side.
